I know it’s been a while, not many shows, no blog updates etc. But we have been busy working on our next LP. So, we have some catching up to do.
Here’s what you missed…..
We decided the new record will be called “We’re Gonna Run” (from one of our new songs 3 Ponies). We completed all of the basic, drum, vocals, guitar and cello at Track and Field studio in Carrboro with Nick Peterson. It was our best recording experience ever! Very laid back yet very pro. All made possible by our awesome support from Mel Thomas at 307 Knox Records.
Here are some photos from the session taken by our friend ADAM DODDS

Our view of Nick through out the session….I don’t even know what he looks like.

the C-magnet layin’ down the groove.

Carolina Pete, raspin’ it up.

If Mick Jagger and Carly Simon had a child…it would look a lot like this.

Pete always needs that red foam finger while singing….just a reminder.

After our Track and Field session, Pete, Josh and I got to work over the holidays on all of the overdubs and mixing at home (in Love Bunker #2). We wrapped up all the mixes last week and master with Nick this past Sat.
Stay tuned for more blog updates to come. This BIRDS and ARROWS release will be on both vinyl and CD. We hope to release it in early spring with a preview show at the ARTS CENTER in FEB. (see upcoming show page)
Found a couple nice reviews from some local music goers in Richmond and Baltimore. thanks guys, for taking the time to write about the shows…can’t wait to come back soon!

So, our little tour came to a close last night in Carrboro at the Arts Center and it couldn’t have been a better welcome back. It was a rainy night, late show (for a Sun) and still the place was packed with lots of supportive festival goers. We had a great time and it was just another reminder of how much we love our sweet town. It’s good to be home.
10th st. Laundromat in Philly was a blast as always.

Josh and Pete late night at Denny’s in Baltimore drinking out of kids cups…yep, it was that kind of night. Me, pete, Josh, my Uncle Bill and mom and dad having breakfast at 3am….memories!

Ok, so, our night in Baltimore was super fun! Played a fun set to a pretty big crowd, followed by getting drunk with family…can’t beat that! And, I know this is a really dark photo but I had to share cause if you look closely it’s pete and Josh rockin out on the tambo and shaker during Among Wolves set. I couldn’t get them to come down so they just finished the set with them…it was classic. deluxe times for sure. I LOVE BALTIMORE!
